JAL JEEVAN MISSION

Vision:

Every rural household should have drinking water supply in adequate quantity of prescribed quality on regular and long-term basis at affordable service delivery charges leading to improvement in living standards of rural communities.

Objectives:

To provide potable water to the extent of 55 Litres per capita per day (LPCD).
To provide Functional House Tap Connection (FHTC) to every rural household, Schools, Aganwadi centers, GP buildings, Health centers, wellness centers and community buildings.
To promote voluntary ownership among local community by way of 5% community contribution on cost of in-village component of a water supply scheme in the form of cash and/or kind and/or labour.

New schemes under JJM:

Maximum time allowed for Single Village Scheme (SVS) is 18months and for Multi Village Scheme (MVS) is 36months
For schemes requiring 3years to complete, contract must be awarded before March 2021.
For scheme requiring up to 2 years to complete, contract must be awarded before March 2022. .
